The Arrowhead Fire

Category: Travel | Comments Off on The Arrowhead Fire

Just west of Big Bear Lake on the right side of the airplane, we witnessed the Arrowhead Fire. The billowing smoke completely obscured the lake from our perspective. A new, smaller fire was reported 8 miles east of Ramona to our south, but views were not available from my position.

The Santa Ana winds had subsided yesterday offering some respite from the spreading fires.

The headline on the LA Time heralded 1,155 Home Lost (and counting …)

Josh (our friend at Southpark Pundit) reported that aerial coverage successfully diverted the fires from his house – we hope all is well for his parents (and others in the area) also.
