Texas Fred called to check on us in the DFW Metroplex.
At the time I did not know that a tornado actually touched down and destroyed the niece’s former house; uprooted a tree at her current house.
One student at Martin High School of Arlington received a text message the his (or her) grandmother had been killed sustained cuts from flying glass.
One tornado touched down at the Martin High School baseball field. Students were kept inside away from external windows.
As I was calling to check on everyone I know in the DFW area, the storm moved overhead to my location.
Severe Thunderstorm Warnings are beeping on the TV now.
Longview, Texas is now in the path of this system.
Rain, hail and thunder have just started.
Update: 4/4/2012.
All clear – damage all around but none at the house.
I drove past the flying semi-trailer yard this afternoon. From the looks of them, they flew much better than they landed.
