Day 6:
Parts ordered so far include all new sheet metal except for the top and back of the cab, new front end components, 2.5″ drop spindles, lower springs, shocks, four row radiator and radiator support, tilt steering column, dash panel, bed floor components, and more.
The engine compartment could use a bit of touch up …
I started with the firewall. Eliminating the heater box and fan in favor of a behind-the dash unit like those found at Vintage Air. I also re-routed the engine compartment wiring eliminating the wires that dropped from the top of the firewall for the ignition and starter connections. Flexible split loom wire wraps keep things much tidier.
