Make plans now to take mom and the family and attend the 11th annual Corsicana Airshow Saturday at Corsicana Municipal Airport on May 9, 2009.
The event, hosted by the Coyote Squadron of the Commemorative Air Force (CAF), will open the gates at 8:30 a.m., and the fun will last all day.
The Squadron will also have observation and general purpose aircraft from World War II through the Vietnam War, and many other airplanes from World War II and later, including the Mitchell B-25 bomber and a the A-26 Invader, a twin-engine light attack bomber in service from WW II to the late 1960s.
Airplane rides will be available from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., with two rides being raffled that day. There will be formation flying by the Texas V-Tails, a certified team of Bonanzas and the Falcon Flight. Two radio-controlled airplane exhibitions will be done by two different clubs between noon and 1 p.m.
Veterans will be admitted free of charge, and will have a special seating area. Admission for others will be $5 each, or $10 per carload. For more information, check www.coyotesquadron.org.
