Wood bed floor installation is almost done.  That’s a lot of bolts, nuts and washers! I’m wondering now whether the Weathered Gray board finish will go with Lexus’ SC 430 Millennium Silver Metallic paint?  The wood finish seems a little too ‘blue’ in comparison. For now, it’s good that everything goes well with black!

Unless a better picture shows otherwise, I’m seeing a semi-auto pistol. Not a “Machine Gun” here. Selector positions seem to show only Safe and Fire … no “Auto” in enlarged picture: The media doesn’t get many firearm articles right, do they?

Alcohol and Drugs Only drink Grand Marnier, and that’s to keep the throat from drying up in a place where there’s a lot of smoke. As for drugs: a big NO! Food Eat anytime, anything you can get your hands on. I mean it! Health Whenever you get to feeling weird, take Bayer aspirin. I […]

The first day on the road after the State Inspection, I got a Thumbs Up signal from the passenger in this car: Pic from CORVETTEBlogger.com not the actual car, but real close in appearance. The ol’ 68 truck may not be purty yet, but she’s a long way from homely. Current status: The kiln dried […]

Day 25: Bumpers are on and, except for one backup light, the lights are in.  All the new front end pieces were happy to get their full chassis lubrication treatment as well The alignment process was a success! Day 24: Hood in place – Latch bolt needed to finish … Also outer cowl, windshield wipers and radio antennae! Careful observers will note the rifle rack installed in the back window. Sweet. An eBay bargain!

Day 23: It seems like I spent half the day getting the first bolt hole to line up on the passenger side.  After that it went pretty well. Chrome pieces to be added after paint. The steering column arrived, but a few more pieces are still needed. Turn signal lever, emergency light button, &c. I’m […]

After a call to the parts supplier which yielded no additional information, the only reason I could see […]
