Whilst shooting with Kim du Toit this weekend, the conversation turned to Pistol Golf. Having had varying degrees of (mostly bad) luck mixing .45 Autos and Titleists, it occurred to me to try a different approach. I present the potential ePostal target:
(right click link or image below to download)
The targets are drawn proportionally for their par value, smaller = harder.
Target for 5 yards (ladies tees), 7 yards (mens’ tees) and 10 yards (pro tees). All shots, unsupported, one or two handed, any grip.
If anyone would like to use this in an ePostal match, feel free with an acknowledgment to Traction Control. I would also consider hosting an upcoming match (as soon as I lower my handicap!)
Enjoy.
Update:
I shot a 77 and a 66 (an average of 1 under par, or 71) on the first trial (36 holes). My partner shot an average of 89.
We used the Mens’ tees for these scores (on the womens’ tees the scores were 66 and 78, respectively).
I’ll give this a slope factor of 100.If there are enough responses to put this on a Calloway handicapping system – I’ve got a program written to track / calculate handicaps. Should any of the serious golfers out there want to have a copy of the Excel-based Golf Handicapping program, leave a comment.
