“… I am actually interested in the question for historical reasons. A quick google search came up with a couple of Wiki articles that suggested the last execution for treason in the US occurred before the end of the Civil War. Wikis are often unreliable so I don’t take them as authoritative. But according to what they did have it appears that even during WW II that convicted traitors managed to avoid the noose.
If true this is pretty shocking.”
Was our own Civil War the turning point that caused our current National aversion to self-preservation? This son of the South is ready to say, “Let’s get over it, y’all.”
A return to our shared national values is needed now – Duty, Honor, Country.
Agreed, or No?
Why have we not been witnessing hundreds of treason trials this year? Are we now tolerant past point of self-destruction?
Weigh in.
