American Hardwood

(Click for 1490x 1200 resolution image – I think Oleg Volk would be proud.)

Few articles better illustrate the beauty of American hardwood than these two finely crafted instruments.

On top we have the Thompson M1SB from Kahr Arms, finished in American Walnut. The deep blue gunmetal sets off the dark wood finish quite elegantly. Underneath, is the classic Gibson Les Paul Deluxe with a light-to-dark sunburst finish. Two great examples of beauty in woodworking.

Finally, after a mere 417 days (13.7 months) from payment to pickup, my Buy a Gun (BAG) Day purchase for 2006 is complete! Sweet.
