---

On Saturday the 16th, we will be at the Sooper-Sekrit shootin’ spot to get some entries filed in the September ePostal Match.

This month’s challenge: Pistol Golf !!!

Kim du Toit plans to join in and promises to make this weekend’s outing into some memorable Shooting Trail footage.

Other readers are planning to attend as well!

Mr. Completely, our ePostal Match sponsor, has NEW Gunblogger Rendezvous info at his place, too.

Check it out.

. . .

We are also planning on firing (or at least hitting) golf balls at the target.

I’ve already got my Wilson driver loaded up in the car.

One reader has sent a picture of his blackpowder morter, chambered in 168 caliber golf ball. Cool! (I think he said he’s trying to get a target sight fitted for the match!)

Hit the September ePostal Match link, download the targets and have a blast.

See official rules for details.

Saturday update:

Kim du Toit takes steady aim with the Wilson, caliber 168.

No that rifle is not pointed at his thigh; and yes, the distance is a bit shorter than regulation. We were just getting the driver sighted in.

Note the large hole at the lower left of the board. It was hitting low, but Crikey! You should have seen the exit hole! Major golf ball damage was unleashed today on foam board and plywood!
