An atomic wedgie?
I think the phrase McJakome was reaching for was “automatic weapons”. And sadly, even if we corrected the commentor’s wording, the statement (about the Assault Weapons Ban) would still be wrong. The AWB has nothing to do with automatic weapons, its about some models that look like automatic weapons, including the most popular sporting rifles in America, the AR-15.
Nine, comments later in the thread – and no one points out the error.
Unfortunately, ignorant people can sometimes be influential.
