Obama’s and his Democrat-sponsored anti-gun bills – Background Checks and Assault Weapons Bans have gone down in flames.

Praise to supporters of Liberty in the Senate, and shame on those who voted to eliminate our rights.

You know who you are. How dare you to have voted to support this infringement of my Constitutional rights?

How dare you?

All citizen voters should take notice the the Democrat Party has lost its moorings from American principles and traditions. And many Republicans should be reminded that the Rights guaranteed in our Constitution still matter.

So … what do you have to say for yourself, Senator John McCain? In my opinion, “you sir, are no longer a Republican, you are an enemy of the Constitution you swore to uphold.”

Sad news

My favorite gun blogger, James R. Rummel, just wrote to tell me that his blog “Hell in a Handbasket” is history.

He says he originally signed up for an “unlimited” blog with his hosting service, but recently the hosting service shut him down for TOS violations, to wit too much traffic. Apparently he was doing the majority of the traffic on the server and it was negatively affecting all the other users.

They offered to set him up with a dedicated server for something like $150/month but he’s not willing to pay that much for a hobby, or at least this particular hobby. (You can buy a lot of ammunition for $150/month, you know. Gotta prioritize things.)

So anyway, one more hole in my daily blog visiting cycle. I’ll miss him; I learned a lot about guns from him over the years.

Situation:

Colorado sheriff says lawmakers holding up pay raises over gun stance.

“Senate Dems have made it known, ‘Sheriffs, obey or no pay for you,’” said Maketa, one of some 30 state sheriffs who attended public hearings on the gun bills to voice opposition. “The first word that comes to my mind is extortion.”

I’ll contribute private funding for my county Sheriff to counter the loss of Federal Funds as long as my Sheriff continues to uphold Constitutional Rights.

As more contributions are made to County Sheriffs, the influence of the Federal Government in local  law enforcement funding can be reduced.

Shortly after Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) announced that Dianne Feinstein’s “assault weapons” ban was being cut from Democrats’ broader gun control package, a CBS poll shows that public support for any new gun control measures is down considerably.

The poll shows that support for any new gun control is at 47%, a 10 percentage-point drop from highs following the heinous crime at Sandy Hook Elementary. Moreover, those who support new gun control laws are only 8 percentage points higher than those who think we have enough gun control already.

The greatest divergence in opinion arose when CBS asked the questions along party lines: “52 percent of Republicans want the laws kept as they are and 66 of Democrats want stricter laws.” However, just last month, “78 percent” of Democrats wanted stricter laws.

This is a great victory for the new media, which has spent the last three months countering vapid gun control claims pushed by the establishment media. This poll suggests public opinion is tipping to a point where support for more gun control could go the way of the “assault weapons” ban.

Thus, white farm families were forced to relinquish their last line of defense against the tens of thousands of criminal gangs roaming the countryside–armed with AK47s. and as Genocide Watch noted on its website last July one more step was taken as well. “The government has disbanded the commando units of white farmers that once protected their farms, and has passed laws to confiscate the farmers’ weapons,” it reported. “Disarmament of a targeted group is one of the surest early warning signs of future genocidal killings.”

P.S. It’s probably best to resist while you have the arms to do so effectively.
