An aging Korean War Veteran, Walt Kowalski (Clint Eastwood) has lost his wife; his family; his physician; his neighborhood; and actually, the whole society he once knew.
His new Hmong (Vietnamese) immigrant neighbors befriend and honor him as a role model, because he is “America”.
When gang violence threatens to destroy what is left in his life, Walt does what America does best: He Makes the World a Better Place.
Five (5) ***** Stars for the line, “Get off my lawn”; the M1 Garand; and the Colt 1911 used in the movie.
This may be Clint Eastwood’s last feature film. I think it is his best.
Go see it!

Great movie. I highly recommend it.
I’m glad to know I’m not alone in thinking it’s his best movie!
I figured I would, but now I know I will. Tnx.
The director pulled a few very, very bad moments of acting out of Clint, mostly involving over-the-top audible sneers, and the screenwriter got a bit ham-handed with a few bits involving the priest and the kids and grandkids. The Hmong teenage protagonists were, for the most part, quite skillfully played. Excellent film. Seen it twice already, and planning on one more. Great story line, if you can overlook some flaws in the telling.
