Traction Control won a drawing at Gunblogger Rendezvous III for a Hi-Point Compact 9 pistol (pictured). But the real winner was Project Valor IT. Mr. Completely reports the total raised for for Project Valor IT was over $2,000!

Those Hi-point guns are interesting beasts. Cheap as dirt, but strangely reliable and tough. And… if they ever fail, they make GREAT clubs because the SOBs weigh a ton.
I reviewed the .45 a while back.
I look forward to taking it to the range. It DOES have a nice feel to it – very solid.
I cycled a magazine through it by racking the slide. Ejections were all clean and crisp.
… and it fits nicely in my pocket, too.
