Wonder if a class action suit is justified. Anyone looking for an AR now may be looking at 2 grand, assuming they can find one.
Assuming that several thousand people had ordered the Troy Arms ARs from Dicks, that’s a few million dollars in aggregate damages.
Just wondering because IANAL.
I think Troy Industries may have cause for a breach of contract suit since theirs was evidently an ‘exclusive’ contract.
I wonder if Troy cares that much: while as they’ve noted Dick’s has burned their brand name by offering it at such a low price and then abandoning it, they’ll no doubt be able to sell every rifle they can make to other people for the foreseeable future.
They’ll probably not bother with a lawsuit if what I suspect above plays, out, that would make it impossible to prove serious if any monetary damages.
