Traction Control and the Company Team had some time today to practice before the Bad Boy Blast shooting competition. We’re on for tomorrow at 8:00 AM.
The four shotguns we are using are not the typical over-under clay shooting competition guns … our Team strategy won’t be typical either.
We are planning to mount an Assault on Sporting Clays.
Instead of letting the clay flatten out in its arc, we will plan to shoot them as soon as we see them. The 19″ and 20″ barrels on our guns will hopefully provide some advantage while the targets are in close range.
Our guns:
The Benelli M4. A wicked fast semi-auto.
The Mossberg Model 930 SPX. This one has great light-gathering Fiber Optic sights, a good stock for cheek-weld and a fast action.
The Saiga-12. An AK-47 chambered in 12 Ga. In our practice round, the Siaga-12 was unstoppable.
… And the old school stand-by:
The Cimarron 1887 Side-by-Side Coach gun. Favored by the left-handed shooter on our team.
It’s going to be a fun competition of accurate vs fast tomorrow.
